Network Installation
Church Windows only supports hardwired networks. Wireless networks that can be prone to interruptions or signal degradation will result in data lost and are therefore, not supported.
Setup Network Server Station

Complete Installation on the computer that will be the Server or host station. During the installation process, select Server for installation type.

Ensure that Network capability is licensed under System Information > Licensing.

A network technician can then share the CW folder on the server.

The shared folder must be Full Control or Read/Write with Full Access for every user and group.

Note of the name of the Server computer.

Map the Network drive for each Workstation.

For Windows 8 and earlier

Start > right click My Computer or My PC > Map Network Drive

For Windows 10 and later

Start > This PC > Computer Tab > Map Network Drive

The drive letter can be any letter. Often, network drives are lettered from the end of the alphabet.

To the right of the Folder field, click Browse.

Expand your network, by clicking the plus sign. Find the name of the Server station and click the plus associated with it. Left click the Church Windows share (typically the CW folder unless it was renamed during install) and click OK.

Make sure the Reconnect at Logon box is checked.

Click Finish.
Setup Workstations

Complete Installation on each workstation. During the installation process, select Workstation for installation type.

Workstations and the server station must be on the same version. When updating, first update the server and then update the workstations.

After completing installation, create a desktop shortcut by selecting the Network drive and CW.exe.

Click Create Shortcut.
